Clarissa McJunkins was named director of spirts teams at The University of Tulsa in August 2023.
McJunkins spent the previous year as the competitive cheerleading coach for Luxe Athletics in Tulsa. She coached, trained and choreographed routines for different skill levels and ages. During that same time, McJunkins worked as a Wellness Champion/Coach at Green Country Behavorial Health Services.
Previously, McJunkins was the head cheerleading coach and district spirit coordinator for Muskogee Public Schools from 2019-22, where she also taught the fourth grade.
McJunkins also has experience as an instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association for six years (2015-21).
McJunkins earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2017.
