Sha’hada Artberry became assistant director for athletic performance at The University of Tulsa in July 2023 with his main sports responsibility being women’s basketball.
 
Before coming to Tulsa, Artberry spent two seasons (2021-23) as the director of basketball athletic performance for women’s basketball at Texas-Arlington. He spent the previous two seasons (2019-21) at Arkansas State, working as the men’s basketball strength and conditioning coach in his second season after one year working with women’s basketball and women’s golf.
 
Artberry spent the summer of 2019 as the sports performance coach at Southlake Carroll High School.
 
Previously, Artberry was the director of athletic performance at Arkansas-Fort Smith for two years (2017-19), where he worked with the sports of basketball, baseball, cross country, golf, tennis volleyball cheer and dance.
 
A 2017 Oklahoma Baptist University graduate, Artberry earned his bachelor’s degree in humanities of personal training and strength & conditioning. He also worked an internship at OBU for the sports of football, track & field and volleyball his senior season.
