On Sunday, October 22nd in Boston, Mass., The University of Tulsa women's rowing squad will race at the Head of the Charles Regatta. The Hurricane will only race a Varsity-8 boat. "This regatta is the premier fall race where all the top Division I schools compete to see who will be the early favorites for the spring season," said Shaw Tilton, TU's third-year rowing coach.

The skull's coxswain is Jenny Smith. The stroke is Solange Rousset, while the remaining members of the crew include 7-Emily Saul, 6-Brandi Woodson, 5-Sue Casey, 4-Maggie Hall, 3-Jayme Anderson, 2-Amanda Smith, and Bow Kim Anderson.

This is the second trip to the Head of Charles Regatta in as many years for the Hurricane. "Last year we started way down the line at 57 out of 67 boats. After a terrific showing a year ago, we were able to move up to the number 22 starting spot this season," said Tilton.
