Tulsa Golfers Place Fifth at TRW Regional Challenge

Palos Verdes, California - The Tulsa women's golf team finished in fifth place in an 18-team field at the TRW Regional Challenge at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. on Wednesday.

Tulsa carded a final round 308 after shooting rounds of 304 and 292 for a 54-hole total of 904. Arizona captured an 11-stroke victory over second place New Mexico State with a three-round total of 884. New Mexico State's 895 was good for second place, while Stanford and Texas finished in third and fourth place, respectively.

The Hurricane placed two golfers among the top-10, as junior two-time All-American Stacy Prammanasudh finished in a tie for fourth place, while sophomore Maiko Senda scored an eighth place score of 224 (+11). Prammanasudh scored rounds of 75-70-76 for an eight-over par 221 total.Her fifth place finish is her 26th top-20 career finish in 27 overall tournaments. Senda's top-10 finish was her best of the season for the sophomore.

Rounding out Tulsa's lineup was freshman Suzie Fisher (230) who finished in 33rd place, junior Dani Mallon (232) placed 43rd, while freshman Julie Tvede's 238 total was good for 64th place.

The Hurricane will be back in action at the Arizona Invitational, Feb. 18-20.
