Tempe, Arizona - The Tulsa women's golf team is in a three-way tie for third-place after the first round at the 54-hole Ping/ASU Invitational. The Hurricane shot a 14-over par score of 302 at the par-72 Karsten Golf Course.
Tulsa is three shots behind first round leader TCU after the Horned Frogs carded a score of 299, while second-place California shot a round of 301. The Hurricane is tied with UCLA and Arizona State. Rounding out the top-10 is Oregon State, Arizona, Southern Cal, Stanford and New Mexico State.
Tulsa's junior All-American Stacy Prammanasudh and freshman Suzie Fisher each scored four-over par 75s to place 17th overall. One stroke back with rounds of 76 was Tulsa junior Dani Mallon and freshman Julie Tvede, while sophomore Maiko Senda carded a 77 today.
Arizona's Lorena Ochoa, the nation's top-ranked golfer, is tied with Arizona State's Molly Cooper for first place after carding one-under par 71s today.
The tournament will continue on Saturday with second round competition.
