Tulsa Women Golfers Increase Lead at TRW Regional Challenge

Senior All-American Stacy Prammanasudh is in second-place at the TRW Regional Challenge while leading the Hurricane women to a 21-stroke advantage after two rounds.

Palos Verdes, California - The Tulsa women's golf team again used a solid team effort to increase its lead after two rounds at the prestigious TRW Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

Tulsa began the day with a 14-stroke lead over Texas after a one-under par 283 on Monday. Today, the Hurricane scored the day's best round again with an eight-over par 292, and increased its lead to 21 strokes over second-place Texas. Tulsa holds a 575 to 596 lead over Texas, while third-place Arizona State carded an 11-over par round today and sits in third-place at 599 for the tournament.

Rounding out the top-10 teams include Arizona (601), Oklahoma State and Wake Forest (604), Southern California and UCLA (610), Michigan State (613) and 10th place Pepperdine (614).

Individually, Tulsa's three-time first-team All-American Stacy Prammanasudh is in second-place following a one-over par round of 72 today. She sits three strokes behind Arizona's Lorena Ochoa. Prammanasudh has a 36-hole score of one-under par 141, while Ochoa has a four-under score of 138. Ochoa carded a five-under par 66 today.

Prammanasudh and senior teammate Dani Mallon began the day in first place. Mallon dropped into a four-way tie for third-place with a one-over par 143 score, after carding a 74 today.

Tulsa junior Maiko Senda and sophomore Suzie Fisher each carded rounds of two-over par 73 today, Senda currently sits in eighth place with a 36-hole total of 145, while Fisher leaped from 73rd place following Monday's opening round into a seven-way tie for 38th place with a 154 score. Fellow sophomore Julie Tvede also sits in 38th place.

Play will conclude on Wednesday with the final 18 holes.
