Tulsa Men Fall to Texas in Saturday's Tennis Action

Tulsa, Okla. - The Golden Hurricane men's tennis team fell short of victory Saturday, losing 5-2 to Texas at The Michael D. Case Tennis Center at The University of Tulsa.
TU, ranked 45th-nationally, was unsuccessful in doubles competition, losing all three matches and the doubles point to 12th-ranked Texas. Ryan Livesay and Dustin Taylor, the nation's 19th-ranked doubles team fell to the 21st-ranked doubles team, Jean Simon and Jose Zarhi, 8-6.
In singles competition, Tulsa netted two points as 43rd-ranked Alejandro Tejerina defeated 19th-ranked Simon 6-4, 3-6, ret. to win at the No. 1 slot. Taylor was also successful, defeating Antonio Ruiz, 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 3 position.
The Golden Hurricane, now 3-1 on the season, will face 48th-ranked Michigan Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.
