Tulsa Women Finish in Eighth Place at Stanford Intercollegiate

Stanford, California - The University of Tulsa women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Stanford Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Course on Sunday. The Hurricane carded a final round 303 to finish with a score of 890.
Duke captured the tournament title with a 19-under par 845 total, followed by second-place Washington at 850. Rounding out the top-10 teams were UCLA (859), California (869), New Mexico (875), Arizona (878), Vanderbilt (881), Tulsa (890), Texas A&M (890) and Oregon (892).
Sophomore Cas Bridge continued her strong play with a final round one-over par 73 today to finish at three-under par 213 for the tournament. Senior Suzie Fisher shot a final round 76 to finish at eight-over par 224 for 42nd place, while sophomore Courtney Jones had Tulsa's second best round of the day with a 75 to finish in 48th place with a 226 total. Senior Julie Tvede was one stroke back at 227 for the tournament after a final round 79. Freshman Anna Kindgren placed 89th with a 246 total.
Individually, Arizona's Eric Blasberg and Duke's Elizabeth Janangelo finished in a tie for first place with seven-under par scores of 209.
Tulsa is back in action later this week at the Furman University Lady Paladin Invitational, October 24-26.
