Volleyball Dominates Boise State

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team earned their second Western Athletic Conference victory of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 (35-33, 30-20, 30-27) win over Boise State in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Tulsa, which now boasts an 11-6 record this season, increased their overall record with the Broncos to a perfect 4-0.
Freshman Brie Penaluna recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs, while junior Vanessa Thon posted 37 assists and 11 digs.
Kasi Dickson boasted four service aces, followed by Thon with two, and Lindsay Eaves and Patricia Marques earning one apiece.
Defensively, senior Nathalia Araujo led the team with 20 digs, while junior Dana Weddle posted two solo blocks and four assisted blocks.
Tulsa improved to 2-2 in the WAC, while Boise State fell to 5-13 on the year, and 1-3 in the conference. The Golden Hurricane will face SMU in Dallas, Texas on October 9th beginning at 7:00 p.m.
