Tulsa Blows By UTEP 56-28

EL PASO, Texas (AP) -James Kilian rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns and threw for two more scores as Tulsa beat Texas-El Paso 56-28 Saturday to end a 17-game road losing streak.
Last season Tulsa (5-4, 3-2 WAC) beat UTEP to end a 17-game losing streak.
Kilian completed 15 of 22 passes for 219 yards, and his 18-yard touchdown run put Tulsa up 21-7 at halftime.
But UTEP (2-7, 1-3) came back in the third quarter.
Josh Chamois blocked a punt in the end zone and recovered it for a touchdown 3:23 into the second half, then Jordan Palmer threw a 15-yard TD pass to Jimmy Smith. Howard Jackson's 59-yard touchdown run late in the quarter pulled UTEP within 35-28.
But Kilian ran for a 49-yard score 32 seconds into the fourth quarter, and he added a 3-yarder with about nine minutes left to put the game away.
Romby Bryant led Tulsa with five catches for 95 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown.
Palmer was 26-of-43 for 287 yards and two touchdown passes, but he also threw three interceptions.
Jackson led UTEP with 124 yards rushing on 19 carries.
Tulsa gained 287 yards on the ground and had 506 yards of offense. UTEP had 365.
Defensive back Kedrick Alexander led Tulsa's defense with 10 tackles, an interception, a sack and two passes defensed.
