Tulsa Women Golfers Place Third at the Landfall Tradition

Wilmington, North Carolina - The Tulsa women's golf team placed third in a field of 12 teams at the Landfall Tradition on Sunday. The Hurricane carded a final round 301 to finish with a 900 total at the par 72, 6,135-yard Country Club of Landfall course.
Tulsa finished just nine strokes behind team champion New Mexico, who shot the days best round of 296 today. New Mexico finished the tournament with an 891 total, followed by Tulane (895), Tulsa (900), Arkansas (902) and Furman (905) to round out the top-5 teams.
Individually, Tulsa senior Suzie Fisher had her second fourth-place finish of the fall season as she carded a final round one-over par 73 for a three-round total of 219. Fisher was just three strokes behind individual medalist Amanda McCurdy of Arkansas. Sophomore Cas Bridge turned in her third consecutive top-10 finish this fall by placing sixth overall with a score of 221. Bridge shot a 76 today.
Senior Julie Tvede and sophomore Courtney Jones tied for 26th place with totals of 230. Tvede carded a 75 today, while Jones scored a final round 77. Freshman Anna-Christina Kindgren had a score of 80.
Tulsa concluded the fall season with its third top-3 finish in four fall tournaments.
