TU Men's Tennis Falls to No. 25 Vanderbilt

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa's 51st-ranked men's tennis team fell 5-2 to 25th-ranked Vanderbilt Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.
The Golden Hurricane lost all three doubles matches as TU's 19th-ranked doubles team, Dustin Taylor and Ryan Livesay, fell to Vanderbilt's 27th-ranked Bobby Reynolds and Lewis Smith, 8-2 in the No. 1 position.
In singles competition, on the other hand, Tulsa's Taylor and Livesay were successful, defeating 14th-ranked Chad Harris and 99th-ranked Matthew Lockin, respectively. Taylor, with his 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 victory, remains undefeated in the 2003 Spring season, boasting a 5-0 start in singles competition.
The Golden Hurricane lone senior, Livesay, earned a tough 3-6, 7-6, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 singles position.
Tulsa will continue play tomorrow hosting 61st-ranked New Mexico beginning at noon.
