Tulsa Women Fall in Quarterfinals

Tulsa, Okla. (AP) - Natasja Allen scored 16 points as Hawaii beat Tulsa 62-48 in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference women's tournament Wednesday night.
Hawaii (14-12) opened a 30-23 first-half lead, then increased it to 54-35 with seven minutes remaining. Kim Willoughby added 14 points, Jade Abele had 12 and April Atuaia scored 10 for Hawaii.
The Golden Hurricane (14-16) hit only 18 of 59 shots (30.5 percent) and committed 15 turnovers, including 10 in the first half. Tulsa made only three of its first 20 second-half shots.
Allison Curtin paced Tulsa with 19 points and Megan Moody had 15 points.
Hawaii advances to Friday's semifinal round against No. 6-ranked Louisiana Tech (27-2), which beat Boise State 80-55 in the early game.
