TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa women's basketball Head Coach Angie Nelp has hired former UC Riverside coach Jewelyn Huth to the Golden Hurricane staff as an assistant coach for the 2026-27 season.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jewelyn Huth to our program," said Nelp. "She is a rising star in our profession and someone who will make an immediate impact on our student-athletes. Jewelyn has a proven ability to develop players, build meaningful relationships in recruiting, and invest in the daily growth of those she leads. Most importantly, she embodies our program's culture and is committed to helping our players succeed on and off the court. We are excited about the future with her on our staff."

Huth comes to TU after three seasons at UC Riverside (2023-26), where she helped the Highlanders earn 46 wins and a WNIT berth in 2024. In her first year, she helped push UCR to a 12-win improvement for their best single-season turnaround in program history and second-best in the Big West in 10 years, as well as their first postseason appearance since 2016-17.

Prior to UCR, Huth spent 2017-20 as the coordinator of video and creative content for the University of Washington before a three-year career working in massage therapy.

A native of Paramount, Calif., Huth was a two-time Big West Defensive Player of the Year, two-time All-Big West Honorable Mention and two-time Big West Player of the Week at Long Beach State, where she earned her Bachelor's in journalism with a minor in film and electronic arts in 2017.
