The Hurricane carded a 41-over par round of 329 on Tuesday at the par-72 Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. As a team, Tulsa carded just five birdies on the day with 24 bogeys, nine doubles and one triple bogey counting on the Hurricane scorecard.

Three strokes back sits Oklahoma State with a 308 score, followed by Ohio State (309), Florida (313) and UCLA (314) rounding out the top five teams. The 6-10 spots are occupied by Pepperdine (315) in sixth place, followed by Stanford and host Purdue (316) in a two-way tie for seventh-place and a ninth-place tie between Texas and Auburn (317).

For the Hurricane, only freshman Christine Fernandez scored in the 70s today, as she carded a first round six-over par 78. Tulsa had to also count an 82, 84 and 85 as part of its first round team score.
