Livesay and Taylor Continue at NCAA Doubles Championship

Athens, Georgia - Ryan Livesay and Dustin Taylor advanced to the NCAA Doubles Championship quarterfinals with their win today at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.

Livesay and Taylor netted a 7-6, 1-6, 6-2 upset win over Auburn's 13th-ranked duo, Andrew Colombo and Rameez Junaid, in the round of 16. This was the second meeting for the two tandems, but Auburn won the first meeting with an 8-4 decision on April 9th in Tulsa.

Tulsa's top duo will continue their quest for a national championship when they take on Illinois' ninth-ranked Rajeev Ram and Brian Wilson. Their match time for tomorrow has not been set.

Livesay and Taylor own a 22-15 mark on the year and have faced 10 opponents ranked in the top-50. They began the season as the 20th-ranked doubles tandem, but came into the NCAA tournament unranked. The duo was named the Region V Doubles Champions and received all-Western Athletic Conference singles and doubles first-team honors.
