Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa Women's Golf Coach Holley Hair confirmed today that junior transfer Lee-Anne Pace has enrolled in classes at TU. Pace transfers to Tulsa from Murray State and will be immediately eligible.
A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Pace played the past one-and-a-half seasons at Murray State where she won eight individual titles in 12 tournaments. She completed the 2003 fall campaign with a 74.5 stroke average in 11 rounds and claimed two first-place performances.
Pace was the 2003 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year after posting a 75.3 stroke average in 15 rounds of golf. She won six individual titles in seven tournaments in her first collegiate season. She captured the OVC's individual crown with rounds of 77-73-74 for a 224 score.
"We're excited that Lee-Anne has decided to join us at Tulsa," said Hair. "She will be a solid addition to our roster. It will be a step-up in the level of competition from what she has previously been accustomed to seeing in collegiate golf, but I believe that Lee-Anne will still enjoy success and help strengthen our team."
