Tulsa's Cavener Named Rolex Junior All-American

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa freshman golfer Michaela Cavener was named to the Rolex Junior All-American honorable mention team by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).
Cavener placed among the top six in the three national events in which she competed during the AJGA season. She picked up her first win at the PING Harvey Penick Junior and added a third place showing at the OSSO Junior at Oak Tree. She finished her juniors career with eight top-five finishes.
A freshman golfer at Tulsa, Cavener has participated in three collegiate events for the Hurricane this fall and has finished among the top-35 golfers twice. She had her best finish at the Mercedes-Benz with a 16th place performance. Cavener has a 75.5 stroke average in eight rounds
Introduced by the AJGA in 1978, the Rolex Junior Alll-America Teams recognize those players who have established themselves as the world's premier junior golfers. The teams are comprised of 145 junior golfers, ages 13-19, from 31 states and six foreign countries.
