TU Hosts Hampton, Drake This Weekend

Tulsa, Okla. - The Golden Hurricane returns to the friendly confines of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center this Saturday and Sunday, February 14-15, as the men's tennis team hosts Hampton and Drake, respectively. Both matches will take place in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus. There is no charge for admission.

In Saturday's contest, TU will look to continue its perfect 4-0 winning streak against un-ranked opponents this season as it faces Hampton at 6:00 p.m. A pair of seniors, 57th-ranked Alejandro Tejerina and 94th-ranked Dustin Taylor, will lead the 49th-ranked Golden Hurricane. Tulsa recorded a 6-1 win in the last meeting against the Pirates on January 26, 2002.

Drake, with the 47th-ranked doubles tandem of Felipe Montenegro and Anthony Perkins, hopes to upset Tulsa at home beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Golden Hurricane defeated the un-ranked Bulldogs, 6-1, in 2002.
