Tulsa Women Golfers Selected for NCAA Central Regional

Indianapolis, Indiana - The Tulsa women golfers, fresh off of an unprecedented sixth straight Western Athletic Championship, has been placed in the NCAA Central Regional. Three regional tournaments will be conducted May 6-8 to determine the NCAA Championships field.
The Central Regional will be played at the University Golf Course in Normal, Illinois. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each region to the NCAA Championships, May 18-21, at Grand National Lake Course in Opelika, Alabama.
Tulsa is making its 28th appearance in the national tournament. The Hurricane enters the NCAA Regional as the 16th-ranked team in the nation. Four teams ranked above the Hurricane in the GolfWeek poll will also play in the Central Regional, including #5 Vanderbilt, #6 New Mexico, #8 Southern California and #10 Arizona.
The Hurricane is one of five teams that won their conference tournaments. Tulsa is joined in the Central Regional by the SEC Champions, Vanderbilt; Kent State, champions of the Mid-American Conference; host Illinois State, champions of the Missouri Valley Conference; and Princeton, the Ivy Group Champions.
