Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's basketball team begins a four-game Conference USA homestand against UAB at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 13 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane will sign autographs following the conclusion of the game.

Tulsa (11-3, 2-1 C-USA) is 5-0 at home this season and has won a school-record 10-consecutive home games. The Hurricane is 17-1 (.944) at the Reynolds Center over the last two seasons and has a mark of 27-6 (.820) at home since the 2003-04 campaign. Tulsa four straight conference games are the most consecutive league games TU has ever played at home.

TU will host Memphis on Sunday and then a pair of games next weekend against Rice (1/20) and Houston (1/22). Tulsa has won nine out of its last 11 games, and is coming off a 70-63 victory over Tulane on ESPN2.

Junior All-America candidate Jillian Robbins is averaging a double-double and leads the team in scoring (18.3), rebounding (15.3), blocked shots (2.8), steals (1.9), field goals (98) and free throws (60). Senior Megan Moody is second in scoring at 13.4 points per clip, while Emily Jaskowiak is third in scoring 10.6 and second in rebounding with 6.1 boards per contest. Senior Kara Pongonis-Paslay leads the team in three-point field goals (32) and assists with a 4.7 per game average.

The Hurricane is averaging 67.7 points and 44.3 rebounds per game and is shooting 41-percent from the field, 36-percent from behind the three-point line and 72-percent from the free-throw line.

UAB (7-6, 0-2 C-USA) had its season-high six-game win streak snapped last weekend with a pair of Conference USA home losses to East Carolina (59-53) and Marshall (75-65). The Blazers, which were picked to finish 10th in the preseason C-USA Coaches Poll, are 0-3 on the road this season and the Tulsa games marks their first conference road game of the year. In the three road losses, UAB has been outscored, 225-178 and has not appeared in a road contest since a 71-52 loss at Ole Miss on Dec. 3, 2005.

Crystal McFadden and Carmen Guzman each lead the team in scoring with 15.0 points per game apiece, while Domaneice Moore is the top rebounder with 12.7 boards per contest. UAB is averaging 65.8 points and 36.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 42-percent from the field, 29-percent from beyond the arc and 64-percent from the charity stripe.

Friday's contest marks just the second-ever meeting between Tulsa and UAB. The Golden Hurricane leads the series with the Blazers, 1-0, after posting an 80-70 victory at the Unilever Tiger Tournament in Columbia, Mo., during the 2003-04 campaign.
