TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Head Women's Basketball Coach Angie Nelp and her recruiting staff have added Israeli forward Hadar Cohen and Loyola Chicago guard Alexa Kinas to the Golden Hurricane's roster ahead of the 2026-27 season.
"Alexa and Hadar bring talent, character and a complete skillset that fits how we want to play. They raise the level of everyone around them. They step into a returning group that set a high standard this offseason, I am excited about what this team can become."
Coming to Tulsa from Pardesiya, Israel, Cohen is a 6-3 forward who boosts TU's fast-paced roster with size and speed. She brings high-level international experience to the Golden Hurricane after competing in the Israeli Women's Premier League and representing Israel's National Team. Throughout high school, she also played for the Elitzur Ironi Netanya club.
"Hadar is a versatile forward with size, mobility, and a skillset that lets her play all over the floor. She has competed at the highest level internationally with her national team, and she fits our schemes very well. Her ability to do so many things gives us real flexibility in our up-tempo style. We are thrilled to welcome her to Tulsa."
Kinas, a 5-8 guard hailing from Kaukauna, Wis., comes to Tulsa after two seasons competing for Loyola University Chicago in the A10 conference. As a starter in all 34 games for the Ramblers last year, she averaged 9.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game to lead the squad to the Super 16 round of the 2026 WNIT.
Before her college career, she was a tri-sport athlete for Kaukauna High School and played club basketball for Wisconsin Flight Elite.
"Alexa is a dynamic guard who can score in a lot of ways and defends with real purpose. She has a great feel for the game and makes winning plays. Beyond the skillset, she fits who we are. She competes, she trusts her teammates and she works. I am looking forward to the impact she will make on both ends of the floor. We are excited to have her as a part of our program."
Now at 14 players, Nelp's 2026 Golden Hurricane look to build off a memorable 2025 season that saw 19 overall wins and 12 victories at home in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
