Five on Men's Squad Earn All-Conference Recognition

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's men's soccer team had five players receive All-Conference USA recognition as selected by the league's coaches, the conference office has announced.
Leading the way for the Golden Hurricane was Jose Parada, who was named Second Team All-Conference USA, as well as being selected to the All-Freshman team. Parada, a forward from Houston, Texas, is second on the team in goals (4) and assists (4), and leads the team in points (12). He also has a game-winning goal on the season and has put 20 of his 48 shots on goal.
Joining Parada on the second team is senior midfielder Matt Thomas. Thomas currently has one goal and two assists this season.
Junior midfielder Eric Burkholder and sophomore defender Chris Clements were named third team all-conference. Burkholder leads Tulsa with five goals scored on the year, as well as 12 points. He has two assists and three game winning goals so far this season. Clements has one goal and is part of a defensive back line that has posted four shutouts.
Joining Parada on the all-freshman team is Hunter Christiansen. Christiansen, a midfielder from Denton, Texas, has one goal and a pair of assists this year.
Tulsa will next be in action at the 2006 Conference USA Men's Soccer Championship in Tulsa, Okla. hosted by TU. The third-seeded Golden Hurricane will play on November 1, beginning at 8 p.m. against UCF.
