Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale Opening Statement... "I thought Tulsa played really, really hard, and did some really good things. We went in a bit of a drought in the middle of the second half, and were one-and-done on a number of occasions. We kept fouling them, they kept making free throws and kind of inched their way back into the game with these two guys [Leah Rush and Courtney Paris] seated beside me with four. Give our guys credit that were on the floor at the time, that Tulsa did creep and it never got scary or too dangerous. We did some things to stave them off until these guys could get back on the floor. Then I thought we probably looked as good as we've looked all year in the final five minutes of the game."
Tulsa Head Coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson Opening Statement... "My hat's off to Sherri, she's done a great job with everything, and she's built a very good, competitive team. I would not be surprised to see them in the Final Four this year, and to be able to seal the deal. Courtney Paris, her presence was everything we expected it to be. She was able to keep her composure as much as she could. And that was handling the ball in the paint with her back to the basket and getting second chance opportunities."
