Nacogdoches, Texas - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team struggled against Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night, falling 66-55 at the William R. Johnson Coliseum. TU fell to 3-5 on the season, while the Ladyjacks moved to 5-3.

Senior and All-America candidate Jillian Robbins led Tulsa, scoring her 52nd double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. She also posted five steals and two blocks on the night. Junior Dana Idlet added 10 points and eight boards, while freshman Destanie Gardner led the Golden Hurricane with three assists.

SFA went on a 20-0 run in the first half, holding Tulsa scoreless for a little over nine minutes, but Idlet put up a layup at the 1:18 mark to end the Ladyjacks run. TU shot just 19.2-percent from the field in the first period and went into the break trailing 39-17.

Tulsa came out fired up in the second half, outscoring the Ladyjacks 38-27. The Golden Hurricane pulled to within 11 points at the 3:33 mark, but time ran out before Tulsa could dig their way out of the first half deficit.

The Ladyjacks Evelyn Edwards put up 21 points and 10 rebounds on the night, while Nikki Carr also scored in double digits with 12 points.

The Hurricane will return home to take on Missouri State on Saturday, December 9th, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
