Tulsa Women's Hoops Host Missouri State This Saturday

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team returns home on Saturday, December 9th to host Missouri State beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane owns a 3-5 mark this season, while the Lady Bears are 2-4.

TU will be led by senior All-America candidate Jillian Robbins, who averages 17.1 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, and has recorded 29 steals and 14 blocks in the first eight contests this season. Classmate Tandem Mays, who is averaging 7.0 points per game this season, will also serve a primary role in the contest as she averages 32.0 minutes per game.

Missouri State is coming off a 21-point loss to DePaul last Sunday, but has won two of their last three contests. Tahnee Balerio leads the Lady Bears' scoring this season, averaging 16.7 points per game. Tiff Terwelp and Roxanne Stiles also average double-digit scoring with 12.8 and 11.2 points per game, respectively. Terwelp also leads the team, as well as the Missouri Valley Conference, with 12.0 rebounds per game, and has posted 10 steals in the first six games this season.

The Lady Bears hold a 6-4 advantage in the overall series, including a 73-64 win last season in Springfield, Mo. The Golden Hurricane, however, has tallied a 3-1 mark against the Lady Bears in Tulsa.
