Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa sophomore guard Jamie Dreiling captured her first career double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, but UTEP edged past the Golden Hurricane in the final 33-seconds to record a 70-68 victory on Thursday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. TU owns a 6-11 mark on the year, including a 1-4 record in Conference USA, while UTEP has a 15-2 record and a 4-1 mark in the league.

The Miners began the game with a 10-1 lead, but a three-pointer by senior guard Tandem Mays sparked a 7-0 run by Tulsa to pull within two points at the 15:33 mark. The Golden Hurricane tied the game with a little under four minutes to play in the half, and took a four-point lead, 33-29, into the break.

The Golden Hurricane led for the majority of the second half, but couldn't pull of a last second shot to tie the game.

Jillian Robbins led TU's scoring with 17 points, followed by Dreiling and Dana Idlet with 14 and 10 points, respectively. Robbins and Destanie Gardner registered three steals apiece, while Robbins posted three blocks.

UTEP's Izabela Piekarska had a team-best 26 points and six rebounds, and added three steals and two blocks on the night. Jareica Hughes and Kasia Krezel netted 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, January 21st, hosting SMU beginning at 1:05 p.m. at the Reynolds Center.
