Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa senior All-America candidate Jillian Robbins tallied 27 points and 11 rebounds for her 58th career double-double, but UAB picked up the 76-60 win on Friday night at the Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The Golden Hurricane fell to 5-9 on the season, including a 0-2 mark in Conference USA, while UAB moved to 7-7 on the year and 2-0 in the league.

Freshman guard Valerie Siemens recorded a career-high 14 points, all of which came in the first half, including four three-point baskets. Sophomore Jamie Dreiling added nine points, while Teka Brooks and Dana Idlet had four points apiece. Tandem Mays, a senior guard, served it up as she registered seven assists.

On the defensive side of the ball, Robbins and Idlet each posted two steals, while Idlet and Brooks had two blocks apiece.

The Blazers were led by Carmen Guzman who netted 25 points, and Diamond Rogers had 16 points and a team-best 10 rebounds.

The Golden Hurricane concludes a five-game road swing on Sunday, January 7th with a 2:00 p.m. contest against Memphis.
