Tulsa's Burkholder and Poeschk Earn Academic Honors

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa men's soccer players Eric Burkholder and Kilian Poeschk were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Golden Hurricane duo is now eligible for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors.
A senior forward from Broken Arrow, Okla., Burkholder maintains a 3.96 GPA in finance. He earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI team and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America second-team honors as a junior. Burkholder has been named to the TU Dean's List as a freshman, sophomore and junior, and was selected as a two-time Conference USA Academic Medalist. He has started 56 of 77 career games and has career numbers of 10 goals and 23 assists for 43 points.
Poeschk, a sophomore from Berlin, Germany, has earned a 4.0 GPA in international business. He was selected as a C-USA Academic Medalist and was named to the TU President's List as a freshman. Poeschk has played in 18 career contests and earned four starting assignments.
