Tulsa Women's Hoops to Host UTSA on Saturday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team will host UTSA on Saturday, Dec. 1 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the TU campus. The Golden Hurricane enters the contest with a 1-6 overall record, while the Roadrunners are 6-0.
Sophomore Teka Brooks and freshman Tatum Beer lead the Golden Hurricane attack with 9.9 and 9.6 points per game, respectively. On the defensive side of the ball, Larrissa Williams pulls down a team-best 9.6 rebounds per game, while Chanel Johnson owns 24 blocks and Beer has recorded 12 steals.
The Roadrunners are coming to town after tallying a 63-59 win over Missouri State in their last contest. UTSA is led by four players scoring in double-digits, including Terrie Davis (14.7 ppg), Whitney York (12.0 ppg), Amanda Foster (11.3 ppg) and Courtney Laing (11.0 ppg).
TU and UTSA have met five times, with the Golden Hurricane leading the series 4-1. Tulsa has won the last three meetings, including a 61-57 victory last season in the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic.
