Tulsa's Cavener Named C-USA Golfer of the Week

University of Tulsa junior golfer Michaela Cavener was selected as the Conference USA Women's Golf Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Tulsa, Okla. - University of Tulsa junior golfer Michaela Cavener was selected as the Conference USA Women's Golf Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Cavener, from Ponca City, Okla., led Tulsa in the "Mo" Morial Tournament with an eighth-place finish in a field of 83. She carded rounds of 77, 76 and 74 for a 227 total.

A C-USA first-team selection a year ago, Cavener picked up her second league player of the week honor, as she earned the accolade last season for her performance in the "Mo" Morial.
