Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's men's tennis team (12-5) will hit the road for the last time during this current road swing to face No. 16 Oklahoma State (10-1) at 2 p.m. in Stillwater, Okla.
TU is ranked No. 22 in the nation, but enters the contest on a two-match losing streak after dropping contests to No. 5 Notre Dame and No. 49 Texas A&M. This marks the first time since April of the 2006 season.
The Hurricane, however, still boasts the No. 3 player in the nation in Arnau Brugues who is 12-2, with his only losses coming against the No. 1 and No. 8 players in the country. He also boasts wins over OSU's top two players this season, defeating now-No. 21 Ivan Puchkarov 7-5, 6-0 during the Polo All-American and downing now-No. 57 Oleksandr Nedovyesov 7-5, 6-4 in the first match-up of the spring between TU and OSU, which the Cowboys won 4-3.
Diego Camacho and Ross Cunningham have also remained in the rankings at No. 21 in doubles after reeling off a 7-5 duel record and going 18-8 overall as a duo.
The Cowboys enter the weekend having won six in a row following their only loss of the season, which was a 4-2 loss to No. 6 Illinois.
Puchkarov and Nedovyesov lead OSU, with Puchkarov playing the two position and Nedovyesov playing the one.
Tulsa will return home on April 1 to face No. 18 South Alabama at 1:30 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
