Goddard, Cervi Named C-USA Players of the Week

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa seniors Todd Goddard and Dominic Cervi were named as the Conference USA Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 17-23, as announced today by the league office. This is the first player of the week honor for Goddard, while Cervi picked up the honor on Sept. 19, 2005.
A 6'0" native of Tulsa, Okla., Goddard scored two goals in the Golden Hurricane's 3-1 victory on the road at seventh-ranked Creighton last Saturday. He leads TU and C-USA with six goals, including two game-winning goals, and ranks second in the league with 12 points.
Cervi, a 6'6" goalkeeper from Norman, Okla., notched six saves in TU's victory over the Bluejays, for 30 saves on the season and 156 in his career. He ranks fourth among all C-USA goalkeepers for a .789 save percentage.
With the win, Tulsa improved to 5-2 on the season and moved back into the national rankings.
