DeFreitas, Nulisch Receive Top Drawer Soccer Accolades

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Junior Eric DeFreitas and freshman Zach Nulisch received Top Drawer Soccer (TDS) honors, as announced by that same publication. DeFreitas earned TDS Team of the Season honorable mention accolades, while Nulisch was selected to the TDS All-Rookie second team.

The duo assisted TU to a 15-3-2 overall record, a Conference USA regular season and tournament championship, and to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

A three-year letterwinner from Coppell, Texas, DeFreitas posted eight goals and eight assists for 24 points as a junior. He garnered all-Conference USA first team and C-USA all-tournament team accolades, as well as was selected to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on Nov. 5th. He has started 47 of 58 career games and has 14 goals and 14 assists for 42 points.

Nulisch, a midfielder from Sunnyvale, Texas, started all 20 games in his rookie season. He attempted 15 shots, scored the game-winning goal against UAB, and picked up three assists. Nulisch also received C-USA All-Freshman team honors.
