Tulsa, Oklahoma - The 14th-ranked University of Tulsa men's soccer team will host Kentucky (5-3-2, 1-0 C-USA) this Wednesday, October 8th, at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium. Game time is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. TU will also host Marshall (0-9-1, 0-2 C-USA) on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m.
Freshman Austin Neil has a team-best three goals, including two game-winners, and eight points, leading TU in all three categories. Senior Eric DeFreitas and sophomores Jeovahnni Sandez and Zach Nulisch have two goals apiece.
Tulsa ranks among Conference USA's top-five in seven categories. The Golden Hurricane is first among the league's best in shots (146), second in assists (19), third in goals-against average (.87) and points (51), fourth in goals (16) and corners (51), and fifth in shutouts (2).
After failing to score a goal in three-straight losses (2-0, 1-0, 1-0) with multiple players missing from those games due to injury, the Hurricane has bounced back and has totaled 11 goals in the last four victories since then. The 11 goals are six more than Tulsa had scored in its first six games of the season.
The Wildcats have a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series, while the Golden Hurricane has won three of the four previous meetings with the Thundering Herd.
