Tulsa Women's Hoops to Host Central Arkansas This Saturday

The University of Tulsa women's basketball team returns home to host Central Arkansas beginning at 5:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, Dec. 6th at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team returns home to host Central Arkansas beginning at 5:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, Dec. 6th at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. This will be the first meeting between the two schools on the women's basketball court.

The Golden Hurricane (2-4) looks to snap a four-game losing streak that includes a 61-55 loss to UMKC earlier this week. TU will be led by junior Larrissa Williams who is averaging a double-double as she tallies 17.0 ppg and 12.0 rpg. Her 17.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg and 2.3 bpg are fourth, first and first among the league, and 48th, ninth and 33rd, respectively, in the nation.

Kara Vaughan, who posted a personal-best 14 points in the last contest, is Tulsa's second-leading scorer with 6.3 ppg, following closely by ReShawndra Jackson with 6.2 ppg.

The Sugar Bears are 2-3 on the season after defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 71-70, in their last game. UCA is led by Meaghen Kelleybrew who averaged 12.5 ppg in the last two contests after missing the first three games of the season. Jamye Adair also scores in double digits with 10.2 ppg. Laura Beth Anderson has a team-best 5.6 rpg, while Destinee Rogers leads the team in assists (12) and steals (7).
