Oneonta, Alabama - The Tulsa women's golf team is in first place at the Samford Intercollegiate after carding a 290 and 291 in the first two rounds on Monday afternoon in Oneonta, Alabama.
TU has a 17-stroke lead over second-place Illinois (598), while Murray State (599), Jacksonville State (602) and Tennessee-Chattanooga (603) round out the top-five teams.
Tara Goedeken leads the Golden Hurricane, as well as all golfers, with a three-under par 141, followed by Michaela Cavener in fourth-place with an even-par 144. Leisl Hasbrouck registered a 147 for eighth-place, Woori Shin is in 21st place with a 152 and Kelly Fuchik is three strokes back in 26th-place.
Freshman Brooke Baker, playing as an individual, carded rounds of 76-79 for a 156 total and is in a 26th palce tie with teammate Fuchik.
The final round will be played on Tuesday.
