Miami Lakes, Florida - The Tulsa women golfers finished in fifth place at the Canes & Cardinal Classic on Tuesday afternoon with a 54-hole 888 total at Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Florida.

The Golden Hurricane completed the second round of competition with a 302 total after play was postponed on Monday due to inclement weather. In third round action, TU posted its best round of the tournament with a 292 total.

Louisville captured the team title with a seven-over par 871 total, followed by Furman and Georgia State tied for second with 884 totals. Notre Dame (886) and Tulsa (888) rounded out the top-five teams.

Tulsa junior Woori Shin and freshman Kelly Fuchik tied for seventh-place with three-round 218 totals. Shin carded TU's best round of the day with a two-under par 70. Senior Tara Goedeken bounced back with an even-par 72 after shooting a 78 and 77 in her first two rounds for a 36th-place 227 total. Classmate Michaela Cavener finished one stroke and one place back at 37th place, while freshman Brooke Baker carded a 240 total for 66th place.

Louisville's Cindy LaCrosse claimed the individual title with a four-under par 212 total.

Tulsa will be in action next at the Conference USA Championship, on Monday-Wednesday, April 14-16, in El Paso, Texas.
