Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tiayra Green, Taylor Hooker, Amanda Mason and Loren McDaniel signed national letters-of-intent with the Tulsa women's basketball team today, as announced by Head Coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson.

"I am excited about these four women becoming a part of our program," Thomas-Swinson said. "These players understand what it is like to win championships, and their athleticism alone is going to aid in our up-tempo style of program."

Green is a 5'10" guard from Riverdale High School in Atlanta, Ga. She recorded 17.8 points, 10.0 assists, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals as a junior. Green was her team's top scorer and was named as the MVP, and she earned all-county honors last season.

Hooker, a 5'10" guard from Summit High School in Arlington, Texas, posted 7.5 points, 3.2 steals, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists, and helped her team finish as the Texas State Champions during her junior campaign. She was named to the second-team all-district and first-team all-state last year.

"Taylor is extremely athletic, quick on her feet, jumps well and is always around the ball," SHS Head Coach Tammy LuSinger said. "She is a headache for our opponents' defense and brings a fire of competitiveness every time she steps onto the court."

Also from Summit High School is 6'2" forward McDaniel, who averaged 6.3 points and 6.4 rebounds as a junior last year. For her efforts, she was selected to the second-team all-district last year, and was named a McDonald's All-America nominee this season.

"Loren has a nice presence inside and is a very good post defender," LuSinger said. "She comes to practice with a strong work ethic and works hard everyday, and this year has stepped into a leadership role."

A 5'11" guard from McKinney North High School in McKinney, Texas, Mason posted 12 points and seven rebounds per game, and picked up first team all-district honors as a junior.

"Amanda is a hard worker," MNHS Head Coach Valeria Little said. "She has brought a higher level of intensity to this team, and is so talented. I've never seen anyone play as well as she does at this level, and she helps make the players around her even better."
