Tulsa Women's Hoops Fall to Houston Jaguars, 60-49

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team dropped a 60-49 decision to the Houston Jaguars on Wednesday night in an exhibition game at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Larrissa Williams led TU with 11 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks, while Jermaine Kermis also netted 11 points and Taleya Mayberry posted 10. Kermis had a team-best four assists and three steals.
The Jaguars took an early 7-2 lead, but the Golden Hurricane tied the contest at nine-all with 13:04 left to play in the half. TU continued on to a game-high 14-point lead (25-11) after a 23-4 run and took a 33-22 advantage into the break.
Houston came out fired up in the second half, out-scoring Tulsa, 38-16, in the final 20 minutes.
Chelsea Greer and Sha'Ratta Hawkins each scored in double digits for the Jaguars with 12 points and 10 points, respectively.
TU will open the regular season at home against UMKC on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Reynolds Center.
