Tulsa, Oklahoma - Six student-athletes from The University of Tulsa women's rowing team were named as Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar-Athletes, as announced today by the CRCA.

Allison Bridge and Nicole Falvo were recognized for their work in the Varsity 8+, while Emily Callen, Anne Campbell, Michelle Kadin and Susan Stangl were honored with their Lightweight 8+ boat.

The six Golden Hurricane student-athletes have: 1) met all eligibility rules as defined by Tulsa, 2) are in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, 3) have rowed in TU's NCAA or IRA eligible boats for a minimum of 75-percent of the current spring races, and 4) have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher during their career.

"I am very proud of all our scholar-athletes," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "So many of our student-athletes are successful off the water, and I think that speaks volumes for the academic commitment at TU. Tulsa is a tough academic school, so it shows how much work these women do in order to not only make this team successful, but to excel in the classroom as well. Our rowers deserve a lot of praise for that work, and we appreciate the CRCA for recognizing them."
