Tulsa Tennis Teams Earn National Rankings in ITA Preseason Polls

Tulsa, Okla. - Four University of Tulsa tennis players earned individual preseason rankings as announced today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Senior Philip Stephens enters the fall season as the 65th-ranked singles player in the nation after going 18-14 in singles play last season, including five wins over nationally-ranked opponents.
Junior Alexandra Kichoutkin earned a No. 118 national ranking in the women's singles poll after posting a 25-10 singles record last season. Kichoutkin was named first-team all-Conference USA in each of her first two seasons at Tulsa.
Senior Rebecca Row and sophomore Ewa Szatkowska were ranked No. 46 in the women's double poll after going 4-3 together last season.
The women's tennis team begins the fall season at the Memphis Invitational on Sept. 18-20 at The University of Memphis, while the men's team starts fall action at the Baylor Invitational on Sept. 25-27 in Waco, Texas.
