Tulsa Closes Out Regular Season Against UCF on Friday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa's 19th-ranked men's soccer team will close out the 2010 regular season against 15th-ranked UCF on Friday, Nov. 5th with a spot in the Conference USA tournament on the line. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (12 and under).
Fans are encouraged to bring a canned food item or monetary donation for the Conference USA Student Athlete Advisory Committee Changing Lives Program that will benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
TU (9-5-1, 3-3-1 C-USA) is led by senior forward Ashley McInnes with eight goals and four assists for 20 points, while junior Austin Neil has a team-best nine goals and one assist for 19 points. Ray Clark has logged 916 minutes in goal and Michael Murray has over 485 minutes between the posts this season. The duo has combined for 55 saves, three shutouts and a .733 saves percentage.
The Golden Hurricane ranks among the nation's best, as TU is 16th in scoring offense (2.07 goals per game), 24th in total goals (31) and 43rd in won-lost-tied percentage (.633). Tulsa also ranks first in shots (261), fourth in goals (31), and fifth in points (86) and assists (24) among Conference USA's best.
UCF comes to town with an 11-3-2 overall record and a 4-1-2 mark in C-USA. Nik Robson leads the way for the Knights with eight goals and nine assists for 25 points, while Cameron Cooksey and Spencer Scott have 13 points each, and A.J. Nelson and Warren Creavalle have 11 points apiece.
The Golden Hurricane has won all six previous meetings with the Knights on the soccer pitch.
