Tulsa Faces Kentucky in C-USA Championship Quarterfinals on Wednesday

Tulsa's sixth-seeded men's soccer team will take on No. 3 seed Kentucky in the Conference USA Championship quarterfinals on Wednesday, Nov. 10th. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis, Tenn.Tulsa will be in a hunt for its fourth-straight Conference USA Championship title this week, as the Golden Hurricane won the tournament in 2007, 2008 and 2009. In the five-year history, Tulsa has tallied a 9-2-2 overall record in the tournament and advanced to the championship game four times.
The Golden Hurricane is led by senior forward Ashley McInnes. McInnes has eight goals and four assists for a team-best 20 points, while junior Austin Neil has a team-high nine goals and one assist for 19 points. Omar Mata and Corey Albertson both have seven points on the year. Ray Clark has logged over 1,000 minutes in goal, picked up 37 saves and has a .725 saves percentage.
Matt Lodge leads the Wildcats with four goals and three assists for 11 points, while Tyler Riggs has five goals for 10 points. Tyler Beadle has logged all 1,723:17 in goal, recorded 59 saves and four shutouts.
TU and UK faced off earlier this season on Oct. 27th, with the Wildcats earning a 2-1 victory in Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane still maintains a 5-4-1 advantage in the all-time series.
The other quarterfinal game, which will begin at 5:00 p.m., features No. 4 South Carolina vs. No. 5 UAB, while No. 1 SMU and No. 2 UCF receive first round byes.
