Tulsa Women's Hoops Host Houston on Friday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team returns home and will begin a three-game home stretch against Houston on Friday, February 12th. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Senior Larrissa Williams is leading the Golden Hurricane (7-13, 1-8 C-USA) with 16.3 ppg, while freshman Taleya Mayberry also averages double-digit points with 11.2 ppg. Williams pulls down a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game and has 48 blocks, while Mayberry has 65 assists and owns 43 steals, and Jermaine Kermis has dished out 67 assists and has 40 steals.
Tulsa ranks among C-USA as the top team for rebounding offense (43.2) and blocked shots (4.9), is second in field goal percentage defense (.373), offensive rebounds (17.2) and offensive rebound percentage (.394), and is fourth in rebounding margin (+1.9) and defensive rebounds (26.0).
The Cougars enter the contest with a 12-10 overall record and a 6-3 mark in C-USA, and have won four of their last five contests. UH is led by Brittney Scott with 17.1 ppg, while Courtney Taylor has a double-double with 15.3 ppg and 10.0 rebounds per game, and posts a team-best 37 steals. Porsche Landry registers 9.4 ppg, while owning a team-leading 87 assists, and Lesslee Mason nets 8.5 ppg and has 27 blocks.
This will be the 10th meeting between the two teams, as the Golden Hurricane owns a 5-4 advantage in the series. It was the Cougars, however, that came out on top, 77-69, earlier this season in Houston.
