Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa basketball student-athlete Glenn Andrews has been granted a medical hardship waiver for the 2009-10 season, school officials learned today from Conference USA.

Andrews suffered an anterior cruciate tear to his left knee in the spring of 2009, and missed all but two games of the 2009-10 season. Andrews played 14 minutes in two games last season and scored six points.

Andrews will be a red-shirt junior in 2010-11 and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

In his first two seasons, Andrews averaged 7.5 points and 2.3 rebounds. He has 26 career double-figure scoring games and has started 16 of 77 career contests. He had a career-best 24 points against SMU as a freshman in the 2007-08 season.

Tulsa returns seven lettermen for the 2010-11 campaign and welcomes two transfers, Scottie Haralson from Connecticut and D.J. Magley from Western Kentucky, both of whom will be eligible this season, as well as 6'10" red-shirt freshman Kodi Maduka.

The Hurricane also welcomes three true freshman -- 6'9" Blondy Baruti, 6'4" Jordan Clarkson and 6'4" Tim Peete.
