Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Windon Memorial

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The University of Tulsa men's golf team finished in fourth place, and was led by junior Stephen Carney who shot a three-round score of 214 to tie for 10th, at the Windon Memorial at the North Shore Country Club.
Carney shot a 72 Monday in the final round of the tournament to finish one-over par. Junior Arie Fauzi led the Golden Hurricane in the final round, shooting a two-under par 69. TU shot a team-total 284 Monday, to finish with a three-round total of 862, eight strokes behind tournament champion Michigan.
Freshman Johannes Veerman tied for 24th with a three-round total of 219 after shooting a 72 Monday. Sophomore Chris Worrell carded an even-par 71 in the final round to shoot 220 for the tournament and finish tied for 36th. Freshman John Young Kim shot a total score of 226 in the three rounds, including a 77 Monday.
Michigan's Lion Kim (-6) won the tournament with a final-round 67, and the Wolverines took the team title with a three-round score of 854 (+2).
The Golden Hurricane returns to action Oct. 10-11 at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, N.C.
