Tulsa Women's Hoops Host Tulane on Sunday

The University of Tulsa women's basketball team plays host to Tulane on Sunday, Jan. 23rd beginning at 2:05 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team plays host to Tulane on Sunday, Jan. 23rd beginning at 2:05 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (12 and under).

Tulsa enters the game with a 5-7 overall record and a 1-3 mark in Conference USA. Taleya Mayberry has a team-leading 17.1 points per game, as well as 45 assists and 41 steals. Freshmen Amanda Mason and Loren McDaniel are averaging 9.1 ppg and 8.9 ppg, respectively, while McDaniel also pulls down a team-best 5.8 rebounds per game and has seven blocks.

The Golden Hurricane ranks among the top-100 among all NCAA Division I schools in three categories this season, including No. 21 in steals per game (12.3), No. 29 in turnover margin (4.75) and No. 88 in scoring offense (68.6 ppg). Individually, Mayberry is ninth in steals per game (3.4) and 61st in points per game.

Tulane is off to a 15-3 start this season, including a 4-1 mark in C-USA, but dropped an 86-81 overtime decision to Southern Miss on Thursday. The Green Wave is led by five players scoring double-digit points, including Tiffany Aidoo (14.3), Danielle Nunn (14.2), Roshaunda Barnes (13.7), Olivia Grayson (12.1) and Brittany Lindsey (10.1). Brett Benzio has a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game and 50 blocks, and Barnes has 93 assists and 62 steals.

This will be the 13th meeting between the Golden Hurricane and the Green Wave on the women's basketball court, as Tulane has an 8-4 advantage in the all-time series.
