Tulsa Women's Basketball Team Hosts Arkansas State on Wednesday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team returns home to host Arkansas State on Wednesday, Nov. 23rd beginning at 7:00 pm Central at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tickets are $5 and can purchased at the Reynolds Center ticket office.

The Golden Hurricane has a 0-3 mark on the season and will be looking for its first win on Wednesday. Junior guard Taleya Mayberry has a team-best 15.0 points per game, while sophomore guard Taylor Hooker also averages double-digit points with 11.3 ppg to lead Tulsa this season. The TU tandem also ranks first and second in assists with seven and five, respectively. Tiffani Couisnard has a team-leading 8.3 rebounds per game, followed by Hooker with 4.3, and both players have seven steals in the first three games.

Arkansas State has a 1-1 mark on the season, including an 84-71 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday. A trio of players are averaging double-digit points, including Jane Morrill with 20.5 ppg, followed by Ashley Olvera (16.0) and Meghan Lewis (14.0). Morrill also has a team-high 6.0 rebounds per game, while Quinishia McDowell has eight assists, and Olvera has seven assists and seven steals.

This will be just the third meeting between the two teams, as ASU has a 2-0 lead in the series. Both games were played during the 1986-87 season.
