Tulsa Hosts Marshall on Sunday; Fans Encouraged to Wear Pink

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the Tulsa-Marshall game in support of the WBCA Pink Zone national initiative.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team hosts Marshall on Sunday, Feb. 20th beginning 2:05 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the TU campus. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the WBCA Pink Zone national initiative. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (12 and under).

The Golden Hurricane, which has tallied a 5-15 overall record and a 1-11 mark in Conference USA ranks first in Steals (11.7) and Offensive Rebounds (18.2), third in Offensive Rebound Percentage (.399), and fifth in Turnover Margin (+2.4) and Rebounding Offense (40.2) among C-USA's best.

Taleya Mayberry has a team-leading 15.0 points per game, as well as 67 assists and 61 steals. Freshmen Loren McDaniel and Amanda Mason are averaging 8.6 and 7.5 ppg, respectively, while McDaniel also pulls down a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game and has 11 blocks.

The Thundering Herd has a 7-18 overall record and a 3-9 mark in C-USA, including a 58-57 win over UAB on Thursday. Marshall is led by Tynikki Crook who posts 16.5 ppg and 8.9 rpg, as well as 30 blocks. Lateidra Elliott is the next leading scorer with 8.6 ppg, while Alaya Mitchell has team-bests of 56 assists and 32 steals.

This will be the sixth meeting between TU and the Thundering Herd, as Marshall has a 3-2 advantage in the series, including wins in the last three meetings.
